NZ vs IND: Hardik Pandya out of Test series against New Zealand


Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has dropped out of the Test series against New Zealand due to not being fully fit. Hardik was also out of India A earlier due to injury. He was not included in the T20 and ODI series against New Zealand. He will no longer be a part of the Test series due to lack of fit. A 2-Test series is scheduled to be played between India and New Zealand later this month.
BCCI President Sourav Ganguly also recently made a statement regarding the fitness of Hardik Pandya. Ganguly had said that Hardik's fitness is not such that he can even play domestic cricket. 
He had said, "Hardik is not fit for domestic cricket right now." This all-rounder from Baroda is taking training at the Bengaluru National Cricket Academy. Because of this, he was dropped from the New Zealand tour.
It is being said that now Hardik Pandya will return to the field in IPL 2020 itself. Hardik played T20 against South Africa in September last year. His last ODI was in the World Cup 2019. Hardik has scored 1700 runs in 11 Tests, 54 ODIs and 40 T20s and has taken 109 wickets. 
In the 5-match T20 series against New Zealand, India are leading 4–0 by winning the first four T20 matches. The fifth match of the series is to be played on Sunday (February 2). After the T20 series, India will play a 3-match ODI and a 2-match Test series.
