INDvNZ 2nd ODI: Five reasons, due to which India lost the ODI series

The Indian team is on a tour to New Zealand where the team had huge success in the five-match T20 series and the team won all the matches of the series. But Team India could not repeat the success of T20 in ODI series and lost the first and second match of the three-match series and lost the series. New Zealand took an unassailable 2–0 lead in the three-match series beating India by 22 runs in the second ODI match played at the Eden Park ground on Saturday.
Batting first, New Zealand set a target of 274 runs in front of India. The Indian team collapsed for 251 runs in 48.3 overs. Shreyas Iyer and Ravindra Jadeja fought for India but could not win the team. Earlier, New Zealand lost the toss, batting first and scored 273 runs for eight wickets.
For New Zealand, Ross Taylor contributed an unbeaten 73, opener Martin Guptill 79 and Henry Nicholls contributed 41 runs. Let's look at five such reasons of this match, due to which Team India had to lose the ODI series along with the match.
Ross Taylor - Kyle Jamieson partnership
New Zealand team set a target of 274 runs in front of India. The Kiwi team was able to reach so many runs because of the partnership of Ross Taylor and Kyle Jamieson. The team struggled after losing eight wickets for 197 runs at one time but Ross Taylor and Kyle Jamieson shared a 76-run partnership from here. Playing his debut match, Jamieson scored an unbeaten innings of 25 runs with the help of one four and two sixes in 24 balls, while Ross Taylor, who won the team in the last match, contributed 73 runs, once again playing a brilliant innings. .
Bumrah-Saini was unable to take a single wicket -
The bowling of the Indian team was much better than the previous match in this match. The team had taken eight wickets in New Zealand before 200 runs were completed. But Ross Taylor and Jamieson played an excellent partnership. For the Indian team, Yuzvendra Chahal and Shardul Thakur bowled well but the leading bowler of the team Jaspreet Bumrah and young fast bowler Navdeep Saini could not do anything special in this match. Both fast bowlers did not get a single wicket in this match and took 112 runs.
Team India does not get a good start -
To chase any big goal, the team needs to get a good start. Chasing a target of 274 runs, the Indian innings did not start well and the team lost the wicket of Mayank Agarwal in the third over while the second opener Prithvi Shaw also lost the wicket in the fifth over. India also lost the wicket of captain Virat Kohli by completing ten overs. The team never recovered from these shaking and kept losing wickets at frequent intervals, which the team had to bear as a defeat.
Virat-Rahul's flop show -
Captain Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were the important link of Team India's batting on the tour of New Zealand but both players could not maintain that performance in this match. While captain Virat Kohli scored just 15 runs off 25 balls, wicketkeeper batsman KL became the victim of Colin de Grandhom scoring four runs off 8 balls.
Navdeep Saini's dismissal-
The Indian team struggled losing seven wickets for 153 runs in front of the target of 274 runs from New Zealand, but from here a 76-run partnership for the eighth wicket between Ravindra Jadeja and Navdeep Saini. On the basis of the partnership between the two, India had come very close to winning once. The score of 229 runs was cleaned up by Colin de Grandhom six in his over and Navdeep Saini was bowled clean on the next ball. After Saini's dismissal, Jadeja tried hard but he could not win the team.
