INDvsNZ test series: Rohit Sharma dropped, Indian team announced

On Tuesday morning, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the 16-member Indian team for the 2-match Test series against New Zealand. At the same time, team opener Rohit Sharma has been out of both ODIs and Test series. Mayank Agarwal has been selected in his place in the ODI, while Prithvi Shaw has been included in the Test series.
Rohit Sharma is out

The BCCI has released a mail saying that the left leg of Indian team opener Rohit Sharma has been stretched. In such a situation, he will not be able to play in the 3-match ODI series and the 2-match Test series. Rohit Sharma will return to India from New Zealand and he will be attending the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore. His place in the ODI team has been given to his Test partner Mayank Agarwal.
Navdeep Saini got a chance for the first time
Navdeep Saini, the fast bowler who has scattered batsmen with his fast bowling in the short format, has been included in the Test team for the first time. Navdeep Saini has performed brilliantly in first-class cricket at home level, due to which he has been included in the Test team. Navdeep Saini made his debut in T20 International cricket and then ODI International cricket last year.
Return of Burmah
Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who played the last Test match on the West Indies tour after the World Cup 2019, has also returned to India's Test team. Bumrah took a hat-trick in his last Test match. Bumrah suffered a minor back stress fracture after the West Indies tour, due to which he did not play cricket for long. He was treated at NCA.
India's Test Team is as follows
Virat Kohli (Captain), Mayank Agarwal, Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (vice-captain), Hanuma Vihari, Wriddhiman Saha (wicketkeeper), Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Jaspreet Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini and Ishant Sharma.
