Bangladesh seeks Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma from BCCI for two match series



If BCCI gives permission, then soon Indian captain Virat Kohli and veteran opener Rohit Sharma will be seen playing in a two-match series for Bangladesh. Bangladesh Cricket Board is going to organize a two-match T20 series between Asia XI and World XI, which will gain international status. Both these matches will be played in Dhaka on 19 and 21 March. The Bangladesh Cricket Board is organizing this to mark the centenary of the birth of Bangladesh founder Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib ur Rehman.

Four players from
Bangladesh will take part in World XI vs Asia XI against four players from Bangladesh in the Asia XI, three of whom have been named. These include Bangladesh Cricket Team opener Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah Riyadh. The final decision has not been taken yet on who will be the fourth player of Bangladesh in Asia XI. It is believed that the fourth player will be a bowler. The legendary Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will not be available for these matches to be held at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium as he is banned.


Five players from India can play in the Asia XI,
no player from Pakistan will participate in the Asia XI team as the Pakistan Super League will be played at that time. In such a situation, players of India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will play in Asia XI. According to reports, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has sought Indian captain Virat Kohli and opener Rohit Sharma from BCCI to play against the Asia XI team against the World XI. For this, the Bangladesh board is constantly in contact with the BCCI. The Indian team will play a three-match ODI series against South Africa in March. After that the players will start preparing for the Indian Premier League. It is believed that five players from India can take part in this two-match T20 series.

Azad was the first President of Bangladesh Mujib ur Rehman
Sheikh Mujib ur Rehman was born on 17 March 1920 in Tungipada. He became the first President and second Prime Minister of Azad Bangladesh. On 15 August 1975, Sheikh Mujib ur Rehman was killed along with the family. The current Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, is the daughter of Mujib ur Rehman. She survived the deadly attack because she was abroad then. In memory of Mujib ur Rehman, the Bangladesh Cricket Board also named the country's domestic T20 league Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League.
