India vs South Africa: The remaining two matches of the series canceled due to Corona virus



The remaining two ODIs of the series between India and South Africa have been canceled. These matches were to be played in Lucknow and Kolkata on 15 and 18 March. The news agency PTI quoted BCCI as saying this.



The BCCI has said in its release that South Africa will later visit India for a series of three ODIs. BCCI-Cricket South Africa will decide on new dates later.

The first ODI in Dharamsala between these two teams was rained down. Both teams reached Lucknow on Friday. The official said, "The South African team will come to Delhi and fly home with the earliest available flight."

Due to government guidelines, it was decided to have these matches in empty stadiums earlier. The government had decided to keep sports competitions closed for spectators due to the epidemic.

The IPL also will not start from March 29. He has been suspended till April 15. So far 80 cases of coronavirus have been found in India, while the number of such cases globally has exceeded one lakh. Globally, more than 5000 people have died due to this deadly virus.

This is the second international cricket series that has been canceled. Earlier, the England team canceled their Sri Lanka tour due to this infection. At the same time, the English players left Pakistan Super League in the middle and are returning home.
