ICC's big decision, Australia can be out of the World Cup without playing
The semi-finals of the Women's T20 World Cup being played in Australia have been decided. Cricket Australia Chief Executive Kevin Robarts said on a radio station on Wednesday, "We had a question about this and it is not at all in accordance with the playing conditions." We respect this because we had said the same thing earlier that we are having a tournament in Australia.
ICC spokesman said, ICC T20 World Cup is a small event where the provision of Reserve Day is kept only for the final match. If it is kept for any other match, it will prolong the tournament.
If the Reserve Day is not kept in knock out matches and the match has to be canceled due to rain or any other reason, then the team at the top of the group progresses. This means that both the teams that finished first in their group will reach the final of the tournament without playing. While the teams that finished second in group matches will be eliminated from the tournament.
